Lynn Kaack is a Postdoctoral Researcher and lecturer with the Energy Politics Group of ETH Zurich since April 2019. Her research addresses energy systems and climate mitigation policy, and she uses methods from policy analysis, statistics, and machine learning. She is also a chair of Climate Change AI, an organization facilitating work that meaningfully addresses climate change and is well-served by machine learning tools.
Lynn Kaack holds a PhD from the Department of Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). During her PhD, she also earned a Master’s in Machine Learning from CMU’s Machine Learning Department. Before, she studied physics (B.S and M.S.) at Free University of Berlin, and she worked as a visiting researcher at United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability in Tokyo.
